Expert Engineer – 5G LAB

We are seeking a skilled and experienced 5G Lab Test Engineer with expertise in both 5G technologies and IP networking to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and certifying 5G lab setups to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a deep understanding of 5G network architecture, protocols, and IP technologies, along with hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting complex systems.

Design, test and deliver a winning solution architecture, with a Customer Centric Commercial model to achieve the project and business goals Also, support building cutting-edge new solutions and platforms to improve customer’s experience and productivity.

Open to support and deploy new 5G based technologies like 5G Slicing and tactical 5G private networks successfully to support the UAE’s Industrial Revolution and put the strategy and implementation of its pillars to create enterprise products across all customer journeys.

Responsibilities: -

1. Design, configure, and maintain 5G lab setups, including hardware and software components, to support testing and certification activities.
2. Conduct end-to-end testing of 5G networks, including RAN (Radio Access Network), Core Network, and IP-based transport layers.
3. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation
4. Perform validation, troubleshooting, and debugging of 5G and IP network configurations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test cases, execute test plans, and analyze results for 5G solutions and IP technologies.
6. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of test setups, configurations, and procedures.
7. Work closely with vendors and technology partners to ensure compliance with 5G standards and certifications.
8. Stay updated on the latest advancements in 5G and IP technologies and recommend improvements to lab setups and testing methodologies.
9. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams during product development and testing phases.
10. Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for 5G and IP network testing and certification.
11. Interface with departments as required to ensure that the introduction and promotion of new solutions are carried out systematically, professionally and with the support and cooperation of all concerned teams.
12. Build a framework to measure ongoing solution performance and use data to make decisions to improve the solution.
13. Directly interface with customers where required to influence their strategy and close projects as and when required
14. Work with Engineering, Product Development teams to define the solution architecture, select suitable partners and operating model.
15. Interact, coordinate, and cooperate with Product Development & Multiple Engineering departments to enhance existing solutions portfolio.
16. Manage solution demos to Customers, Sales and Business development teams and lead Train the trainer activities.
17. Support Sr. Manager of 5G Edge & Private Networks in the customer experience lifecycle for 5G Private networks business line (training, Customer Experience improvement and drive technical and market strategic decisions)
18. Identify & monitor customer requirements; analyzes market potential and prepare revenue forecasts and analyses (business case) for Edge & Private Networks business line.
19. Interface with Regulatory, Legal and Contracts departments as required to ensure that the compliance is as per UAE regulations, and e& T&Cs.
20. Assesses customer satisfaction in order to ensure that 5G private network offering optimally addresses customer requirements.

Requirements

1. 10-15 years’ experience in innovative propositions and must have experience in having managed teams/projects
2. Post-Graduation/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, CCNA/CCNP or related fields
3. Mandatory Requirement : IP Expertise, Lab Testing & Certification, Strategical context, 5G Networks
