Engineering Supervisor

Position Summary

• Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters
• Locate and operate shut-off valves for utilities
• Order, mark, and manage inventory for parts and supplies
• Maintain purchase orders and equipment inspection logs
• Use computers to enter and access work-related data
• Operate power lift equipment as needed

Safety and Emergency Protocols

• Complete fire pump and generator run tests
• Inspect fire sprinkler systems and alarms
• Assist in creating and updating disaster response plans
• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Assist management in:
  • Hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff
  • Counseling, disciplining, coaching, and motivating team members

Policy and Standards Compliance

• Follow all company safety, security, and maintenance protocols
• Report hazards, incidents, or safety violations
• Complete all required safety training and certifications
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality

Guest and Team Interaction

• Welcome and assist guests professionally
• Address guests’ service needs and assist individuals with disabilities
• Foster teamwork and address staff concerns constructively
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues

Efficiency and Quality Improvement

• Ensure adherence to company quality standards
• Recommend and implement improvements in:
  • Efficiency
  • Productivity
  • Safety
  • Cost savings

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect equipment and tools
• Perform tasks involving bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Move and handle objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
• Navigate stairs and service ramps

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
• Experience:
  • 2+ years of relevant technical/maintenance experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
• License/Certification: Not mandatory
