Engineer – Enterprise Command & Control

Support the EC3 Specialist and Manager in the planning and management of special events across Dubai by providing data-driven insights, simulation models, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role contributes to the strategic development of event plans that ensure smooth operations across the multi-modal transportation network.

Key Responsibilities

• Create traffic simulation models for Dubai’s multi-modal transportation network for short- and medium-term events.
• Develop event plans using simulation software in coordination with RTA’s Event Management Team.
• Analyze historical data to propose improvements for future events in collaboration with the Event Planning and Management Team.
• Extract data from EC3 systems and implement transport modeling initiatives to support strategic investment decisions.
• Assist the Event Monitoring and Communication Specialist in developing and sharing simulation models with stakeholders.
• Identify risks and develop predictive models based on lessons learned from past events.
• Maintain a comprehensive schedule of events that may impact Dubai’s transportation network.
• Prepare detailed traffic engineering reports with recommendations for the Event Monitoring Specialist or Section Head.
• Liaise with EC3 and other RTA departments to gather and share event planning data.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering from a recognized university.
