Job Purpose
The Director, Enrollment is responsible for providing strategic enrollment planning and student recruitment strategies leading the Enrollment team in attracting students and promoting Khalifa University’s profile and scholarship opportunities.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Drive the formulation of the Department's strategy, as well as annual business plans.
- Develop the Department’s policies and procedures, adhering to the overall business objectives of the University, ensuring they promote leading practices and excellence.
- Develop and manage the Department’s budgets; monitor the performance of budgets and report back on a timely basis to ensure that divergences are addressed promptly
Operational Responsibilities:
- Direct and review recruitment strategies to help attract and enroll high caliber students (UAE National and International) at the University
- Direct and supervise various student recruitment events, activities and exhibitions and drives the process of engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Also works closely with Communication Department, Student Services, academic departments and senior management in addition to appropriate liaising with external parties including partners.
- Direct and supervise student sponsorship activities, partnership relations and appropriate stewardship of partnership needs and expectations.
- Study and analyze scholarships offered by similar Universities and benchmark against them
- Represent the University professionally and ensure that the Enrollment Department serves as an Ambassador to external clients during events, meetings and workshops
- Supervise to ensure that all potential applicant inquiries and needed information about the University and their recruitment process are handled in an efficient and timely manner
- Supervise the Admissions team on providing support to students on the admissions process
- Liaise with the Communications Department to ensure that all communication material and information on the enrollment process are updated, advertised and available for the public on the University website
- Develop the University’s overall recruitment schedule includes identifying proper recruitment venues and schedule participation by key internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the initial screening process for all applicants to ensure eligibility to University programs
- Manage and ensure that all the recruitment database is secured, updated and accurate for all potential applicants
- Manage and facilitate offsite recruitment opportunities, event plans and activities with the Communications teams
- Develop and maintain relationships with local Schools, governmental agencies, and stakeholders to assist and promote student recruitment and available scholarship opportunities
- Ensure adherence to the University's information security policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly
- Ensure coordination with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed
- Demonstrate a strong commitment and practice to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by Line Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring as required to enhance the internal capabilities of the team and ensure the achievement of established objectives and plans.
- Recommend appropriate training courses as per the pre-determined training needs, evaluate their effectiveness, and monitor their results.
- Carry out performance appraisals for subordinates according to planned schedules and recommend necessary actions as per the applied practices.
- Conduct periodic meetings with subordinates to ensure that priorities are clear and workflow is running smoothly.
- Follow-up on employees' administrative affairs such as vacations, leaves and other administrative and related affairs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Management or related field.
- Master’s preferred.
- A minimum of 14 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, of which 5 years should have been in a senior managerial position, preferably in higher education.
