Job Purpose

As part of the Global Corporate Sales Team within Global Markets, the role holder will focus on selling Global Markets solutions to Large Corporate clients across designated geographies and industry segments. This includes understanding client needs, providing tailored solutions, and delivering high-quality service in coordination with internal teams.

The role requires strong product knowledge, relationship management, and the ability to meet revenue and volume targets across a multi-asset class portfolio. The client base primarily includes Corporate and Commercial Banking clients.

Key Responsibilities

Generic Accountabilities

  • Ensure full adherence to all Global Markets Sales policies, regulatory and compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Act as a strong team player, collaborating with GM Sales, Traders, Relationship Managers, Legal, Compliance, and Documentation teams.
  • Provide excellent execution and service to clients while strengthening internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Escalate client or internal issues, revenue concerns, or operational risks to the Line Manager within appropriate timelines.

Job-Specific Accountabilities

  • Achieve and exceed individual and team revenue and volume targets.
  • Cover and sell across multiple asset classes, as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Provide expert knowledge and advisory on a broad range of Global Markets products, including:
    • FX (G10/EM)
    • FX Options
    • Interest Rate Derivatives
    • Deposits
    • Repos
    • Credit Products and TRS
    • Commodities and Equities
    • Islamic Products
    • E-Commerce platforms
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships with both existing and new-to-bank clients.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and promote holistic banking solutions in collaboration with internal partners.
  • Ensure full legal, operational, and market risk compliance across all client transactions.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Consistently meet or exceed budget and performance targets for the assigned portfolio.
  • Maximize revenue from client FX flows and structured product needs.
  • Independently structure and price derivative transactions using systems such as Murex, Bloomberg, and SuperDerivatives.
  • Actively participate in client meetings to enhance engagement and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain and improve margins across client segments while ensuring strong service delivery.
  • Respond to all client queries in a timely, professional manner to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with FAB’s legal, operational, and internal control standards — ensuring no breaches or escalations.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 8 years in Financial Markets or related front-office roles.
  • Proven expertise in client-facing roles within Sales, Trading, or Markets Advisory functions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of Global Markets products, especially derivatives, FX, and structured solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with pricing tools such as Murex, Bloomberg, and SuperDerivatives.
  • Strong team leadership, collaboration, and the ability to drive team performance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage complex client needs and transactions.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience interacting with regional and global teams; foreign language proficiency is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other financial modeling tools.
