Description
Job Purpose
The Relationship Manager is responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing a portfolio of retail banking customers by understanding their financial needs and offering tailored banking solutions. The role involves maintaining long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities to cross-sell products, and ensuring compliance with FAB’s operational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition- Understand customer requirements and assess deal viability in coordination with product teams and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain account plans to capitalize on business opportunities and provide regular pipeline updates.
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to Unit Head and product teams to support product development and innovation.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with assigned clients to ensure service satisfaction and relationship continuity.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with product teams to identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver holistic financial solutions.
- Execute a structured call program to assess client needs, evaluate risk, and ensure alignment with the bank’s relationship strategy.
- Conduct regular meetings with portfolio clients to understand their evolving financial needs and introduce relevant products and services.
- Stay informed on all customer-related interactions across the bank to maintain a comprehensive understanding of client activity.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, regulatory guidelines, and audit/compliance standards to reduce operational risk.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, and Branch Banking to ensure high-quality client experiences.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to fulfill service expectations and facilitate the end-to-end delivery of banking solutions.
- Define and pursue annual performance goals in alignment with the reporting manager.
- Identify personal training and development needs and proactively complete required learning and certifications.
- Continuously strive to enhance competencies, stay current on industry developments, and embrace ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in retail customer relationship management within the banking industry. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field. - Certifications:
- SCA Certification (CISI Level 3) – Mandatory
- UAE Rules & Regulations Certification – Mandatory
