Job Purpose

The role is responsible for overseeing and leading Client Services for the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) clientele. This includes managing and growing existing client accounts through strategy development, relationship building, and seamless execution of client requirements. The position will also involve operational execution, team supervision, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

Client Services Execution
  • Oversee day-to-day activities and service delivery within Client and Corporate Services (CCS).
  • Supervise and monitor transactions within the workflow system, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Act as a coordination point between the Relationship Management team, clients, and internal stakeholders for resolving technical and financial referrals.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Turnaround Time (TAT) guidelines.
Team Supervision & Development
  • Organize and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to policies.
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and constructive feedback to support team development.
  • Create adequate backup resources by upskilling staff to ensure seamless operational continuity.
  • Promote FAB’s values and support a culture of collaboration, communication, and discipline within the team.
Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure error-free transaction processing and full compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Minimize operational risk by adhering to documented procedures and customer/instructional guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards of internal control, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across all activities.
  • Monitor and ensure team conformance to both local and international regulatory frameworks where applicable.
Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Assist with non-routine problem solving, requiring collaboration with cross-functional experts.
  • Coordinate with other departments for the delivery and support of relevant client services.
  • Prepare accurate reports and management information to support effective decision-making.
  • Support efforts to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and control frameworks.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Banking, or a related field.
Minimum Experience
  • 2–3 years of experience in a banking environment with exposure to banking operations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Solid knowledge of general banking principles and back-office operating procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and able to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and operational excellence.
