Senior Internal Auditor – Audit & Data Analytics

The Senior Internal Auditor – Audit & Data Analytics supports independent reviews of business processes, controls and risk management. The role combines audit planning and testing with data-driven analysis to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. The auditor works with stakeholders across the business while maintaining objectivity, confidentiality and a clear evidence trail for findings and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk-based internal audit reviews, including process walkthroughs, control testing and evidence collection.
• Use data analytics to examine transactions, identify unusual patterns and target audit testing efficiently.
• Document findings, assess root causes and prepare clear reports with practical recommendations.
• Discuss observations with process owners and track agreed corrective actions through completion.
• Support continuous improvement in audit methods, risk assessment and control awareness.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience in internal audit, risk, controls, assurance or related finance and governance work.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills, including confidence working with structured data.
• Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional integrity, independence, confidentiality and ability to manage multiple assignments.

Skills and Competencies

The role values critical thinking, attention to evidence, business understanding and sound judgement. Familiarity with audit methodologies, data analytics tools and control frameworks is useful.
