Specialist – Costing & Financial Studies | UAE National

Job Overview

Perform day-to-day financial and cost-accounting activities that support accurate reporting, sound controls and financial sustainability. The specialist provides cost inputs for fees, agreements and transformation initiatives, while helping maintain reliable forecasts, reconciliations and reports. The role also supports pricing studies for new or revised services and supplies relevant cost information for evidence-based financial decisions.

The work requires coordination across departments, delivery partners and technical specialists. Strong governance, accurate records and timely escalation are important because decisions can affect public infrastructure, service reliability and long-term asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply cost-accounting principles to produce detailed cost information that complements general accounting reports.
• Support business modelling and financial analysis for evidence-based decisions.
• Prepare KPI results for costing activities and analyse performance against expectations.
• Contribute to pricing studies for new or revised services within approved financial frameworks.
• Assist with forecasts, reconciliations, periodic reporting and the review of cost variances.
• Maintain records and controls that safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
