Senior Specialist – Costing & Financial Studies (Costing) | UAE National

Job Overview

Carry out advanced costing activities and provide reliable analysis to support financial decisions across Authority services. The specialist works with cost-accounting systems, investigates variances, completes reconciliations and prepares reports that help maintain financial accuracy and operational efficiency. The position also supports cost frameworks, cost recovery and expenditure planning while ensuring that relevant processes meet internal control and audit expectations.

The work requires coordination across departments, delivery partners and technical specialists. Strong governance, accurate records and timely escalation are important because decisions can affect public infrastructure, service reliability and long-term asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cost-accounting processes and produce accurate, timely costing information for decision-makers.
• Analyse cost variances, research anomalies and reconcile records with supporting financial data.
• Contribute to cost-recovery models, break-even studies and reviews of expenditure efficiency.
• Prepare periodic costing reports and explain material changes in costs or performance.
• Support the development of costing indicators and recommendations for improved financial control.
• Maintain documentation and work with operational teams to verify assumptions and data quality.

Requirements
