Health & Safety Director

Job Overview Pentabell United Arab Emirates is seeking a senior Health & Safety Director to lead safety strategy and implementation for major water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Dubai. This leadership role requires extensive experience in complex construction environments, including infrastructure, utilities, and tunnelling activities. The successful candidate will guide project teams, strengthen safety culture, and ensure that safety practices align with applicable regulations and project standards.Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement health and safety strategies for water and wastewater projects. • Lead safety management across infrastructure, utilities, and construction activities. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, project requirements, and recognized industry standards. • Assess and manage risks associated with tunnelling, including TBM and SEM construction methods. • Mentor safety teams and provide guidance to project personnel and contractors. • Monitor safety performance, review incidents and trends, and drive continuous improvement. • Work with stakeholders to reinforce consistent safety practices across project sites.Requirements and Qualifications Applicants should have at least 20 years of overall professional experience, including five or more years in a comparable management role on water or wastewater projects. Experience in major infrastructure, utilities, or PPP/concession projects is required. A bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related discipline is specified, with a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent preferred.
