Description
The Business Development Executive plays a critical role in driving sales and ensuring the successful execution of projects within the Smart Home and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems domain. This hybrid role involves identifying business opportunities, managing client relationships, supporting technical presales, and overseeing project coordination from initiation to delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of commercial acumen, technical coordination skills, and customer-centric values. Experience in smart home automation and ELV technologies is essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Principal Accountabilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both residential and commercial markets.
- Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical consultations for potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, MEP contractors, and developers.
- Prepare and present customized proposals and quotations.
- Contribute to strategic sales planning and achievement of monthly/quarterly targets.
2. Client & Project Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate installation schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations and contractor timelines.
- Conduct site inspections to verify readiness and technical feasibility.
- Manage client expectations and resolve any on-site or operational issues during project execution.
3. Presales & Technical Support
- Collaborate with the technical team to design tailored smart home and ELV solutions.
- Provide technical explanations and support to help clients make informed decisions.
- Assist in system design and proposal development to align with client specifications.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of all sales activities, proposals, contracts, and client communications.
- Utilize CRM software to manage leads, track the sales pipeline, and report on performance.
- Generate periodic reports on sales outcomes, market trends, and project milestones.
5. Product & Market Knowledge
- Stay up to date on the latest developments in smart home and ELV technologies.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends and areas for growth.
- Recommend enhancements to service offerings based on customer feedback and market demands.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:- Minimum of 4 years in sales, project coordination, or technical support—preferably within smart home, ELV, automation, or related industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics preferred).
- Relevant technical or industry certifications are a plus and will enhance the candidate's profile.
Skills & Abilities
- Solid understanding of smart home systems and ELV installations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Capable of preparing accurate cost estimates, proposals, and basic contract documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UAE driving license and own vehicle (mandatory for site visits).
