Job Responsibilities


1. Ensure timely and effective implementation of NDT inspection activities.

2. Receive work directions and instructions from Inspection Superintendent and report about the progress of his activities.

3. Evaluate and validate NDT reports and control NDT activities as per inspection plans and strategies.

4. Prepare and issue NDT contracts to management.

5. Evaluate and recommend new advanced NDT techniques to be used for better result time and/or cost effectiveness.

6. Provide technical support to Area and Turnaround Inspectors in NDT investigations and provide recommendations for improvement.

7. Review and analyze RT films and rule on the acceptability of the results based on international standards and codes.

8. Support welding inspector to define the most appropriate weld testing technique.

9. Coordinate and supervise NDT contractors' activities and ensure work is completed in line with SATORP procedures and specifications and industry best practices.

10. Participate in Turnaround and Shutdown activities to support of the Inspection team.

11. Review and evaluate the qualifications and technical capability of NDT contractors, including personal certification, material, calibration and technical procedures.

12. Provide guidance to on NDT methods to be used for static equipment and piping testing and follow-up on work progress.

13. Ensure the NDT activities on static equipment and piping are applied in compliance to internal specifications and procedures.

14. Interact with Business Team members and NDT specialists of our Partners to provide information with regards to NDT activities.

15. Keep current with new NDT techniques and technologies and participate in regional and international conference and exhibitions in relation to NDT.

16. Prepare and issue NDT reports for static equipment and piping and ensure the same is received and reviewed by all concerned.

17. Develop and update a historical database of all NDT activities performed and to be performed and ensure its permanent update.

18. Perform audit of NDT activities performed at site.

19. Coordinate cathodic protection survey as per plan and issue recommendation as needed.

20. Provide NDT training as requested by Inspection Superintendent.

21. Review of any Management Of Change (MOC), waiver or technical query as requested by Inspection Superintendent.

22. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Inspection Superintendent.
