Material Engineer – Procurement

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer with expertise in civil materials to oversee the evaluation and inspection of material grades and quality during delivery to construction sites. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring that procured materials meet project specifications, industry standards, and company quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to identify material requirements based on project specifications.

• Identify, evaluate, and determine material grade and quality of civil materials delivered by suppliers to ensure materials are received as per the purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of high-quality civil materials.

• Inspect materials upon delivery to the site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.

• Perform detailed checks on material grades, certifications, and accompanying documentation.

• Identify and document discrepancies or substandard materials, escalating issues for resolution.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

• Conduct regular audits of supplier quality processes and facilities to ensure adherence to quality

expectations

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience in procurement, inspection, or quality control of civil materials in construction projects.
