As a BIM Manager reporting into the Head of BIM 360 Department working from our Design Studio in Cairo.

Role Description

The person will be the lead managing DATA and BIM standards across Studio 360. This position will cover all disciplines integration for Digitalization

and Delivery of LOD 500 Model as output.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategic development of the studio by developing BIM standards, researching, and developing new techniques and

directly assisting key projects from time to time.

• Develop DATA management system and policies for creation of files, naming, saving, sharing protocols etc., and constantly update for

relevance.

• Assist with the implementation of design technology related methodologies and skills on key projects like parametric design and building

analysis

• Lead and manage Digitalization, BIM systems, policies, and procedures within the Studio across all Disciplines.
• Manage the implementation of supporting software for BIM
• Provide necessary reports and automate tasks in design process to improve design efficiency.
• Stay informed on the best practices of use of BIM and constantly update the Policies and procedures within the studio.
• Responsible for BIM implementation and enforcement
• Create and maintain templates, families and codes needed for practice
• Train stakeholders when necessary and mentor BIM software users to achieve the project goals
• Lead procurement, implementation, and maintenance of all BIM Software within studio.
• Manage within Budget allocated the best solutions for BIM Maintenance and Development

• Helping project teams in preparing all documentations with 3D (and BIM) requirements
• Review competencies of resource and suggest way forward plan for training and/or recruitment
• Develop a team of BIM modelers/consultants to provide technical assistance to project delivery
• Manage software products including but not limited to incorporating new version releases and customization of the product
• Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies
• Manage IT infrastructure of the studio thru inhouse/outsourced parties

Skills

• Advanced computer skills including proficiency in software like Autodesk suite, Bentley products and Microsoft office Suite
• Advanced understanding of Construction Sequencing
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
