Description

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager (Training, Aviation) - Centre of Excellence to join our Onboarding team in Jebel Ali 06.

Scope

The Assistant Manager (Training, Aviation) of the Centre of Excellence role is to align training programs with business objectives, optimize resource planning, and drive innovation. This ensures high-quality learning experiences, cost efficiency, and adherence to international standards. This role leads accreditation and external audit processes, manages client relationships, and oversees the efficient operation of the training center. Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the training center, ensuring smooth functioning, and providing administrative support. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, and a passion for employee development and facility management.

Financial

  • Prepare and manage budgets, allocate funds for current needs, and plan for future training initiatives and infrastructure development.
  • Propose and manage strategic projects within budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency.

Customer

  • Manage client relationships by delivering accredited programs, sharing curriculum, and maintaining training records in compliance with client and regulatory standards.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies to navigate requirements, facilitate communication, and maintain compliance, ensuring credibility of training programs.
  • Represent the organisation in industry forums, conferences, and working groups to stay updated on aviation training trends.

Process

  • Obtain and maintain COVAL accreditation by ensuring facility readiness, course compliance, and timely renewals; manage audits and inspections.
  • Develop and implement training centre policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Plan training resources based on demand forecasts, manage leave approvals, and schedule refresher training to achieve 100% regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Manager and Business Units to identify training needs, analyse performance gaps, and recommend course content improvements.
  • Assist in conducting engaging training sessions and workshops via in-person and virtual platforms.
  • Support team and other trainers by providing guidance, feedback, and resources for effective content delivery.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations by enforcing client-specific administrative processes and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the audits conducted by external bodies and clients and ensure successful outcomes and come up with resolutions for the highlighted observations.

Innovation

  • Assist in designing and developing training programs, materials, and resources using diverse instructional methods and technologies.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys and assessments and recommend improvements for continuous enhancement.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training quality, efficiency, and learner experience.
  • Propose and manage strategic projects that drive innovation and operational improvements.

Selection Criteria

  • Degree in Education or Aviation.
  • Candidate with 5-7 years of experience in Aviation and a Transguard EPT level 4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting quality assurance checks and addressing compliance issues in course content and delivery.
  • A CIPD-certified candidate is preferred.
