About the role:

As a Technology Services Engineer – NOC, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition:

  • You will be responsible for pro-active monitoring of all alarms associated with MATAR IT infrastructure (Network, Servers) and DIA Network on 24×7 basis. On an average in excess of 15,000 alarms are handled in MATAR ITNOC per month.

  • You will perform Failover, Back up and Restoration of critical servers, provide support to project implementation team on system upgrades and service enhancement.

  • You will perform first level troubleshooting and work closely with all technical support teams for prompt resolution of incidents pertaining to critical IT systems.

  • You will perform file restoration for business users.

  • You will ensure processes and SOPs are adhered to in line with all established corporate IT policies and ITIL / ISO 20000 standards for MATAR IT services.

  • Communicate with MATAR IT Service Centre and support teams on potential impact.

  • Generate daily reports on Network throughput, capacity planning, system back up and Passenger Wi-Fi performance for internal and external stakeholders.


About you:

  • Relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification.
  • Electronics, Engineering, Computer Science degree or diploma
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years relevant experience.
