The railway will redefine logistics and transport in the region, providing a modern, safe, efficient and sustainable network which will connect the seven emirates of the UAE to its neighbouring GCC countries.
As a System Installation Manager, you will support the Systems Director in the delivery of the projects, leading and directing the overall systems installation activities, ensuring timely completion of installation work, whilst maintaining the quality, integrity and security of the equipment. Undertake liaison with the Contractors to ensure that all installation related issues are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will have full autonomy on the overall activities of the systems installation, managing the installation of railway systems in an operating environment, ensuring integration with other construction areas and working with designers for site design changes. You will be ensuring high safety standards are adhered to by ensuring compliance with rules and regulations whilst implementing systems of planning, reporting progress and inspection to ensure projects are implemented and completed to time, cost and quality. You will maintain a system of surveillances to monitor and demonstrate compliance with current requirements in respect of system and occupational safety and performance, thereby furthering the company’s aim to meet the quality system requirements. You will ensure that the resources delivering installation and construction activities comply with relevant method statement, specifications and standards. You will also ensure that testing and commissioning is carried out and recorded in accordance with correct and up to date drawings, plans, specifications and computer software and data whilst reviewing site change process and managing closure of snags, test logs. You will have a thorough awareness of interdisciplinary Installation/ Testing issues and be able to provide solution focused discussions, resolve conflicts with the civil interfaces and constructive feedback and raises any issues identified with the Construction Director. You will be managing the progress of the multiple Systems disciplines Installations activities by the Contractor. You will be responsible for the reporting to the Construction Director of the progress and proactively making sure the Contractor archives the project milestones. You will have to escalate any blocking issues impacting progress and help resolve these issues in a timely manner.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
As an effective candidate you will have an Engineering Degree or Diploma in Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering with experience in railway telecom installation and testing. You MUST have experience in Signaling, telecommunications, asset protection systems, power supply systems, SCADA and operation control systems on working on Brown field projects, with a meaningful focus on HSE processes and procedures. Experience in PMC or as Engineer Position, reviewing design modifications / enhancements on operational railways in the Middle East with IRSE installation License desirable. You will be enthusiastic promoting a zero accident / incident culture and environment to meet the project goals.
