Job Key Details:
Receives stores, and issues supplies and equipment and compiles records of supply transactions aboard ship: Verifies that supplies received are listed on requisitions and invoices. Stores supplies and equipment in storerooms. Issues supplies. Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
Job Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate for Storekeeper must have relevant qualifications for this role Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management Ability to make accurate mathematical computations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management Keen attention to detail Ability to safely and legally operate a forklift The applicant must have at least one year of practical experience in the same role Ability to effectively manage time
