When you think of food delivery in the MENA region, we’d be pretty surprised if talabat didn’t pop into your mind first! Since delivering our first order in Kuwait in 2004, we’ve grown quite a lot over the past 17 years.

Role Summary

We are looking for an inventory specialist who will bring unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to the position, and who has exceptional math and observation skills. Inventory specialists can expect to work closely with management, oversee multiple teams, develop, and improve existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, and occasionally do some heavy lifting. Other responsibilities include maintaining storage facilities, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, compiling balance, price, and cost reports, and doing weekly counts of all items.

What’s on Your Plate?

  • Daily monitoring of stock movement, running report of daily inventory adjustment.

  • Controlling flows of equipment and supplies.

  • Monitoring incoming supplies, liaising with shipment companies to track shipments.

  • Reporting to management and advising on process improvements.

  • Coordinating and directing multiple teams.

  • Developing inventory processes and implementing these processes.

  • Developing loss mitigation processes and protocols.

  • Training less experienced inventory teams.

  • Compiling inventory reports.

  • Addressing any problems, obstacles, or challenges.

  • Forecasting future inventory requirements.

  • Spot checking and visiting warehouses for investigation with inventory discrepancies.

What Did We Order?

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in controlling and managing inventory.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with cross-functional teams.

  • Should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and in a team.

  • Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software.

  • People management skills, experience of managing a large group of people

  • Ideal candidates will have inventory experience as well as mid-level management experience.

  • English and is a must, Arabic is a plus.
