Job description / Role
• Responsible for handling spares / husbandry requirements of vessels calling Dubai
• Manning Husbandry Department which is acting as receiving hub for spares/cargo arriving Dubai and sends to concerned Kanoo Shipping offices for further coordination with the vessel/principal on delivery instructions
• Responsible for the overall accuracy, timeliness and safety of spares/husbandry requirements of vessels calling Dubai until delivered onboard / to the required destination
• Close coordination and clarifying with concerned parties / principals / vessel command for any issues or discrepancy in information that could affect accuracy, timeliness or safety of cargo delivery to vessels calling Dubai / destination
• Responsible for ensuring effective implementation / compliance of Management Requirements as per Kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE Procedures and Policies
• Monitor suppliers to ensure Kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE / Accounting requirements are strictly complied at all times
• Updates customers for status of spares/husbandry required arrangements
• Ensure principal’s requirement (e.g. timeliness) for cargo delivery to vessels calling Dubai / destination are achieved
• Analyse schedule of vessels calling Dubai and plan delivery of items as required by principals/vessels
• Ensure all customer complaints and safety breaches are reported to Service Manager
• Execute corrective and preventive actions as required
• Ensure all suppliers utilized are approved
• Compiles operational records as per procedure
• Carry out supplier performance re-evaluation
• Coordinating with Service Manager for cash to Master requirements upon receipt of instructions from principals/vessels
• Responsible for opening and updating AgencyNow call file for vessels calling Dubai / as required
• Responsible for improvement of performance in carrying out responsibilities to achieve customer requirements
Support :
• Preparing Cash to Master Vouchers and submitting to accounts prior to CTM delivery date
• Cover to other Husbandry and Crew Care staff as and when required by Service Manager
• Supporting in coordination activities required during the absence of Service Manager (e.g. annual leave)
• Acting as temporary receiver or witness for Cash to Master collection from Main Cashier as per procedure – only as and when temporarily authorized by Shipping Manager – UAE
