SERVICE DESIGN/UX LEAD

Job Description

  • Use your solid grounding of all facets of human-centered design and Design Thinking principles and methodologies, to create intuitive and inclusive services that solve real whole problems for users and manage any unknowns, chaos and complexity that can arise at any point in the service design lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with teams, stakeholders, and users to expose and map the service context. Identify critical factors and insights and priorities value-driving opportunities to deliver business and customer value.
  • Understand complex regulatory frameworks and the client’s organizational dynamics and translate or extend the service proposition across from non-digital to an integrated digital and channels.
  • Run and participate in client workshops to understand the service design requirements, drive alignment, get clarity and achieve shared understanding.
  • Collaborate with the experience design team to develop ideas and validation of hypotheses and concepts through ideation, research, and testing activities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand and integrate technical enablers and limitations into the service design.
  • Provide the necessary understanding to map journeys, flows, interactions, and dependencies above and below the service’s line of visibility.
  • Provide support and where needed hands-on guidance to the UX team in their creation of wireframes and interaction flows
  • Present experience design deliverables to internal teams, service owners and stakeholders.
  • Flex your entrepreneurial skills and strategic thinking to help the agency grow its business and capabilities, including scaling up the team once established.

Skills
A portfolio presenting a few case studies covering the whole service design lifecycle (from discovery to Beta and beyond) with actual artefacts that can be presented in depth during the interview.Working for highly regulated public and commercial sectors.Experience in leading the design within multi-disciplinary agile service teams (incl. UX and interaction designers, business analysts, researchers, developers, and subject matter experts)Experience with ensuring service design is integrated into UX and UI deliverables.Clear evidence of how you solved whole real for user needs through an evidenced based design.Proven and practical experience in leading or playing a senior role in the definition or delivery of user-centered services.Well informed design opinions based on research, data, and insights.Hands-on proficiency with Miro, Adobe XD and Figma to run collaborative working and to prototypeUnderstanding of UX design patterns, trends, and best practices, including the practical application of atomic design principles and design systems7+ years working as an Experience Design professionalExperience working with complex organizations/public bodies within the UAE (ideally)
