Role Summary

The Data Operations Officer works in data management team and is an integral member responsible for managing data throughout its lifecycle. As a part of the company’s Data Management function. To work closely with data providers and cross functional teams being on top of data flows – monitoring, analysing, proactively flagging roadblocks or risks identified and work on resolving 

those issues. 

A strong technical aptitude and background in data is required for this role, including familiarity with best practices for data management & governance, including data acquisition, loading, managing ETL (Extract-Transform-Load)/business application, monitoring and reviewing data submission timeliness, quality, accuracy and responding to queries related to data.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

? Monitoring data loads into the company’s systems from data providers. Follow up for missing/delayed data submission. 

? Responsible for daily interactions with data providers and BAU activities which enable data to be consumed and used by the company’s systems. 

? Communicate with data providers (Banks, LFI’s, Govt.) to manage activities during onboarding of new data. 

? Support to Extract and generate the overall data quality reports. 

? Provide ongoing support to data providers including communication of data requirements during onboarding phase, data dictionary changes, facilitating data access, and assistance and troubleshooting support. 

? Resolution of data discrepancies/issues by data investigations and performing reconciliation activities. 

? Analyse performance of ETL routines, implement and optimize ETL routines as required 

? Collaborates with the Service Desk support team to resolve data/ business application issues. 

? Routine work to manage the company’s CRIF system, its data flows and onboarded data. 

? Coordinate change management activities during updates to data flows and Credit Bureau system data. 

? Act as the point of contact within the data management team for support required by the analytics team. Test new data analytics initiatives and support on the pipelines and data flows. 

? Coordinate requests for data access and data sharing by internal and external stake holders as per access/data governance/security policy. 

? Responsible of and administrating the data management related tools. And support in data related incident as and when needed. 

Experience and Knowledge1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in roles managing full data lifecycle. 2. Track record in IT/data management. 3. Knowledge in credit bureau, banks, information services or technology-driven industries. 4. Understanding of Microsoft Azure – Synapse, DataBricks, Informatica. 5. Knowledge of reporting packages (Business Objects, databases (SQL etc), (ETL frameworks). 6. Experience with building Power Bl dashboards/BI software (e.g. Excel, Macros, DAX). Education and Skills1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer science, Data Science disciplines.2. Proficient in English. 3. Proficient in Arabic. (preferably)4. Excellent communication and presentation skills for all levels (vendor to data providers).5. Strong Teamwork management skills
