Description

 Payroll Specialist is accountable for the Payroll process and performs payroll-related tasks on behalf of their clients. Developing customer relationships that promote retention and loyalty. Work closely with customers to ensure they are satisfied with the services they receive and ensure the technical competence of the payroll team.

Job Responsibilities:
The Payroll Specialist will be required to perform duties within the realm of four strategic areas. The focus area is payroll processing, quality assurance as well as leading the center of excellence on GulfHR technical payroll skills.
These duties are outlined below:
1) Finance: (How do I make my role economically profitable)
Ensure aged receivables (debtors) collection in a judicious manner to optimize liquidity. This will be measured on monthly basis in QuickBooks.
Managing payrolls in optimum time, ensuring processes are as fast and simple as possible. This will be assessed on monthly basis as per the time logged on worksnaps (related client project payroll management and payroll administration)
2) Customer: (What customer requirements must I serve in this role)
Maintains a portfolio of payroll clients with complex transactions.
Maintains a high rate of client retention through quality service.
3) Internal Processes: (In which internal business processes must I excel at)
Accountable for comprehensive payroll management. This can include contacting and assisting clients in process of obtaining information for payroll production; responds to/resolves client questions and problems. Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data necessary to process and meet schedules. Prepares, supervises and/or reviews the preparation of all payroll statements and reports. Performs account reconciliations, client audit support and General Ledger support.
Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients, associates, and co-workers to uphold a quality service to clients.
Utilize gulfHR to produce accurate and timely payroll. Keeps abreast of updates on gulfHR and be the technical go-to person in the team. Once a month the senior payroll specialist will present a lunch & learn to ensure the improvement of the teams’ skills.
Ensures compliance with Labor law’s. Develop specialized knowledge of all the labor laws of the countries Egypt, Oman, UAE and KSA and keep the countries legislation up to date on monthly basis.
Ensures Quality standards and processes are met.
Ensures SOP’s are followed.
3) Learning & Growth: (What can I do in this role to continue to improve, create value and innovate?)
Assists in the development of overall payroll procedures by recommending improvements or changes when deemed necessary for greater efficiency and professional delivery of payroll services. The specific clients and projects will be reflected in the 90 days plan. The assigned project will be signed off by the operations manager on monthly basis.
Assist in developing material and operational manuals to support business activities.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of payroll.
Knowledge of payroll reporting.
Excellent communication skills.
Minimum 3 years of experience in processing GCC payroll
Computer proficiency: Excel
Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
