Job Description:
Ariba, Inc. seeks a Business Processes Senior Consultant at our Palo Alto, CA location (and various client sites nationwide) responsible for delivering sound, high quality deliverables on time and within budget.
Job Responsibilities:
Focus on the rapid transformation of client organizations into world-class managers of spend, through innovative, high-quality, global, Spend Management Solutions that create sustainable bottom-line results. Responsible for effectively applying the SAP Ariba deployment process and SAP Activate methodology to meet customer needs within the realm and scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). Work on all aspects of the implementation process including participation in the sales process in developing scope of work and requirements gathering, managing the client relationship, project management, and coordinating technical resources. Use knowledge of customer’s business and industry to assess findings and shape solutions. Influence the opinions and decisions of clients using understanding of client’s organizational processes and structure. Speak to a variety of customers from different departments, at different levels, and in large or small groups (e.g. client project manager, technical team). Know customer problems and anticipates their needs. Identify client issues and approaches for determining potential solutions. Recognize the service needs associated with a client-focused business model. Deliver exceptional results. Make the client successful within the realm and scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). Lead customers through the lifecycle of an SAP Ariba implementation. Guide customers through the design process to make decisions with full visibility into SAP Ariba Best Practices. Assist customers in the development of processes and procedures which leverage SAP Ariba solution functionality being deployed. Author Functional and Technical design documents. Plans and manages project tasks and resources to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards to achieve high customer satisfaction. Often will lead some portion of the customer deployment. Deploy SAP Ariba solutions that they may not have previously deployed. Share expertise through training and communications with customers ensuring knowledge transfer and the desired level of self-sufficiency is achieved. 80% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field of study and 6 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master’s degree and 4 years of experience. Will accept pre-bachelor’s degree experience.
Experience must involve 4 years in the following: Business Process Implementation – Create a framework and processes for documents repository system for overall company’s projects, including Documentations from bids throughout execution of the projects; Strategic Sourcing – Research and Identify Supply Base and Market Trends in order to source strategically to lower project costs; Continuous Improvement – Develop practices to streamline the Procurement process, including vendor management, Sourcing activities, Contract negotiations for more cost-effective results for business; Procurement – Performed sourcing and buying activities to supply the material and services needed for constructing 400 KV Transmission Power Line; Business Process Management – Developed a framework and methodology to restructure the process of gathering requirements, analyzing engineering work cost, material cost, and construction cost of large scale projects; Program Management – Tracked and coordinated projects, monitoring progress against baseline schedules, mitigating risks, and communications with all project teams, and key stakeholders throughout project life cycle to deliver on-time and on budget; and Analytics – Created reporting tools to track savings throughout sourcing activities and contract negotiations. 80% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
