Job Description:
We now have an opportunity to join Sainsbury’s as a People Insights Manager. People analytics is at the very centre of how work is evolving at Sainsbury’s. As a people analytics team, we’re on an exciting journey embracing change, learning and developing ourselves in new tools, methods and techniques that benefit Sainsbury’s and our own careers. We sit within the HR function, but with a dotted reporting line into the Chief Analytics Officer, and work closely with the broader analytics community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Expertise in logical framing and diagnosing business problems, identifying underlying causes
- Apply quantitative analytical methods and mathematics to business problems
- Build, manage, and manipulate large, integrated datasets
- High calibre in mathematics, statistics, operational research or quality computing degree – BSc or MSc level
- Programming expertise in Python and or SQL
Job Requirements:
- Champion a consulting, customer-centric mindset in partnering with customers to address their challenges and opportunities with people insight
- Lead quantitative modelling, hypotheses generation, and analytical methodology/tool selection for insight projects
- Translate advanced analytics and insight into simple narratives and visualisations that are engaging for non-technical audiences
- Lead a team of analysts with a passion for quantitative analytical methodologies and tools, ensuring continuous development and encouraging them to achieve their full potential
- Deliver the people insight vision and annual plan; scope and deliver a strong set of insight projects that enable better business decisions and actions
- Champion a consulting, customer-centric mindset in partnering with customers to address their challenges and opportunities with people insight
