Job description / Role

The role will include:
– Provide the Department with long and short-term roadway asset maintenance and management plans
– Ensure the proper implementation of the existing Roadway Asset Management System in data acquisition, retrieval, distribution and analysis
– Supervise consultants collecting the performance evaluation data
– Develop and implement consultant audit plans
– Review various internal and external reports for approval and feedback
– Advise and guide local resources in the areas of roadway asset evaluation and inspection
– Develop and implement training programs for asset management and evaluation
– Assist the Department in preparing and evaluating prospective asset management projects proposals and bids as needed
– Develop and implement plans to improve the process of asset management in the Department
– Perform site visits to ensure proper asset inspection, maintenance, management
