Research Assistant in the Center for Space Science – Dr. Katepalli Raju Sreenivasan Research Group

The Center for Space Science, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant to work the center’s Mars Research Group and assist with (1) the Mars laboratory experiment, (2) health assessment of astronauts exposed to high radiation levels, (3) Mars-analog fieldwork, and (4) the microgravity experiment.

The successful applicant will carry out lab work on the Mars and microgravity experiment, in addition to assisting with literature review and analysis related to the experiment and astronaut health data. An important part of the role will also include field work to study Mars-analog environments in Abu Dhabi.

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in biology or related discipline. Research experience in space biology, planetary science or a related field is also required.
