Job Description

The Department of Geography and Urban Planning at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a two-year research assistant position that begins immediately. It is expected that the successful candidate will collaborate with the PI and the Co-PI to implement the work set out in a research project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in remote sensing, GIS, and SPSS. The work procedures include: collecting and analysing of data using surveys; categorizing and establishing relationships among a variety of indicators using SPSS; and mapping data onto high resolution multispectral images using remote sensing and GIS.
