Purchasing Coordinator

The Purchasing Coordinator works within the Support Department and is responsible for the integrity of our purchasing & inventory system and companywide communications regarding changes to the system. The Purchasing Coordinator works closely with the Procurement Specialist, Buyers, Purchasing Compliance & Warehouse personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reconciling of PO list and removing old and fulfilling purchase orders
  • Maintaining the vendor master list, updating & creating new vendors with all relevant details.
  • Weekly PO status update, ETA’s, and escalating delayed priority items.
  • Creating POs for Maintenance stock & receiving local supply items.
  • Support, update, and maintain item master list creation of item codes in the ERP.
  • Contribute to the integrity of company purchases through verification and maintenance of all required purchasing documents; {contracts, vendor set up, etc.}
  • Ensure that purchased materials are utilized properly through effective communication regarding inventory items.
  • Organize documents submitted by vendors at the time of Purchase Order submission or delivery of goods.
  • Resolve to receive error issues in the database
  • Update Purchase Orders with current delivery information
  • Assist Procurement Specialist with projects as needed
  • Any other reasonable assignment may be requested or assigned by your Direct Manager


  • Bachelor’s degree and /or sufficient related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of purchasing procedures.
  • Proven experience in the same position, the same industry will be a plus.
