About this role: Projects Offshore HSE Lead

Working in close contact with the MP HSEQ Manager and Package Leads, the job holder is accountable for the following:

  • Implementation of MP defined HSE rules within his area of responsibility;
  • Understanding, development and promotion of HSE policy, Safety Culture and Objectives (Incident Free, 10 Golden rules, etc.);
  • Providing support and expertise to packages preparing or executing offshore operations in order to achieve their HSE performance in line with company’s HSE policy and objectives;
  • Assist MP HSEQ Manager in the realisation of the Projects HSE objectives offshore;
  • Highlight and alert MP HSEQ Manager about identified CONTRACTOR’ deviation from offshore HSE objectives;
  • Demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSE rules & requirements;
  • Provide support and guidance to COMPANY Offshore HSE Superintendents and CONTRACTOR HSE Personnel to ensure adequate implementation of COMPANY Standards, Guidelines and use of approved Templates (HSE Inspections, Dashboard for reporting, etc);
  • Provide support and work in close relationship with MP Logistic Team on HSE related aspects including those related to COVID-19;
  • Organize and assist on HSE meetings and committees with EPC contractors;
  • Participate when required to Incident investigation with CONTRACTOR;
  • Monitor the implementation of actions following analysis of accidents, incidents, audits and inspections;
  • Monitor implementation of HSE Incentive Scheme;
  • Compile lessons learned and issue SFN when necessary;
  • Share HSE Information in between packages offshore and verify lessons learned/good practices implementation;
  • Assist project teams in ensuring the constant improvement of contractors’ HSE performance;
  • Ensures that information required by MP HSE Methods & Reporting Engineer is provided in due time.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or Masters

    Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years experience of which: 10 years general upstream oil and gas HSE supervision experience; 5 years HSE Management System development in a large oil and gas organization;
  • Familiar with HSE procedures, Management System, standards and guidelines used offshore.

    Computer knowledge:

  • Conversant with usual business suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access databases).

    Personal qualities:

  • Team working
  • Rigor and critical sense, open-minded, keen to knowledge sharing
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment
