  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience

Amazon’s Global Workforce Strategy and Innovation (AGWS) team is pioneering solutions to our toughest workforce challenges across the globe, building innovative labor models and infrastructure that improve Amazon’s employment value proposition and scale over time. AGWS is seeking a highly skilled and flexible Regional Program Manager, MENA Workforce Operations to drive process improvement and operational excellence of MENA’s high volume-hiring (HVH) function and strategy. This project manager is responsible for developing and supporting strategic business line initiatives, creating implementation plans, and driving standards across AGWS team members in the MENA region. This role will establish and execute operational health monitoring, define regional reporting requirements, own regional standard operating procedures documentation, vendor and team training on that documentation and establish standards of new country and new site launches while serving as the senior point of contact to the business launch team. Additionally, you will own candidate assessment requirements, communicate legal changes and track the candidate experience.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytics background that enables him/her to manage quantitative planning and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about the talent supply chain. He/she will collaborate with centralized applicant sourcing, advertising, analytics, business operations and finance teams to deliver effective workforce strategies across different employee types.


  • Work cross-functionally and across geographies with business partners at all levels to support large-scale programs and initiatives
  • Have a combination of practical and intellectual skills, as well as an ability to rapidly shift and adapt to different tasks that vary between complex analyses, hands-on projects, and project management
  • Manage background and screening services vendors
  • Implement peak hiring plans and surge strategies
  • Serve as the regional point of contact with internal partner organizations such as Centralized Services, Project Management Office, HR Resource Center, etc.
  • Develop and manage project governance plans, project schedules, success criteria, and project milestones
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, as well as balance business needs versus constraints
  • Establish business priorities, identifying and communicating risks and mitigation plans in collaboration with stakeholders; developing and maintaining goals, milestones and completion dates
  • Perform customer/partner needs and task analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing processes to propose solutions
  • Provide leadership, expertise, and technical/operational guidance to the stakeholders and field teams
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion
  • Lead others to drive ongoing program improvements based on user feedback and performance measurements
  • Uses independent judgement to identify when to simplify versus when to innovate
  • Starts with the customer and works backwards
  • Author WBRs and MBR documents for the MENA Workforce Staffing team
  • Identifies process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existing metrics, analyzing data and partnering with internal teams to positively impact results in areas such as candidate throughput and driver quality
  • Utilize strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to prepare white papers and reports that translate technical/data solutions into recommendations for business audiences
  • Master’s degree in organizational design, business, or supply chain management
  • Passion and enthusiasm for customer experience, technology, and Amazon’s vision
  • Comfort learning new tools and technology concepts quickly
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, team-oriented philosophy, and problem solving
  • High levels of integrity and discretion
  • Experience working within an international technology company
  • Experience analyzing data using various tools for forecasting and optimization
  • Ability to push back, foresee potential issues, and advocate for relentless improvement
  • Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking key performance metrics including return on investment
  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management experience, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity easily, solve for both service level problems and the challenges of minute-to-minute change will be necessary
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing process defect data and the development of corresponding countermeasures
