Job Description:
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Womenswear Apparel team through detailed analysis of sales and merchandise data. This role is responsible for generating and executing the inventory allocation plans that ensure optimal stock levels are achieved across the Myer store network.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up, execute and approve system allocations to ensure the right levels of stock are reaching the right stores at the right time
- Responsibility for supplier communications to ensure on time fulfilment of purchase orders
- Provide accurate, regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis to assist with decision-making across the aligned category
- Allocate stock in line with the location strategy, item planning, SPO usage, in season performance and category targets via data analytics and checking recommended quantity in allocation
- Be accountable for monitoring the allocation process through developing allocation strategies and providing recommendations
- Manage merchandise returns processes and supplier delivery performance
- Organizing the right stock to the right store in an accurate and timely manner, meeting customer demand
- Provide in season recommendations to the category buyers on key insights, quantities and locations
- Take ownership of all purchase order tracking reports, as well as following up on outstanding orders
- Recommend quantities to stores, ensuring the right product and quantities, in line with category and financial plans to drive sales, minimise markdowns and achieve inventory targets
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Intermediate computer technology and systems skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Bachelors degree or qualifications in Business Analytics, Commerce, Logistics/Supply Chain, Finance or Merchandise (advantageous but not essential)
- Previous experience in stock management or allocation (retail preferred)
- Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and drive efficiency
- A strategic thinker with the ability to forecast, as well as obtaining a strong financial, analytical and business acumen
- A confident professional with the ability to influence a team, leaders and key stakeholders
- Able to positively contribute to a dynamic team, being a flexible and adaptable team player
