Job Description:

We are looking for an International Supply Chain Advisor to join our specialist International Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of all freight invoices and duty obligations. You will also be responsible for the application of HTS codes ensuring accurate cost management of all imported goods. The successful International Supply Chain Advisor will provide timely management and processing of all associated freight invoices and costs with our freight partners.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working with freight partners and suppliers to ensure compliance of ‘off shore’ operations including the submission of the required export/import documentation and freight invoices.
• Operational delivery of freight and duty in accordance with specified INCOTERMS and sourcing methodology
• The delivery of freight spend management reporting, identifying where costs saving opportunities arise with the imports team.
• Supporting the Imports training requirements for Ambient Supply Chain and Commercial colleagues including new starters with key focus on HTS classification of product.
• Informing commercial finance on major cost discrepancies on expected duty payments vs. actual to allow for correct forecasting of business margins.
• Building strong relationships with freight forwarders.
• Monthly reconciliation of freight partner invoice statements, resolving missing invoices and charging queries.
• Providing guidance to the business (commercial/finance teams) on duty requirements for goods bought from a non-UK source in order to ensure product origins and impacts to costs of goods are understood.
• Managing import activities and working with stakeholders to continuously improve workflow, processes and procedures in line with AEO, industry or business changes.
• Working with freight partners and suppliers to ensure compliance of ‘off shore’ operations including the submission of the required export/import documentation and freight invoices.
