Maintenance & Integrity Execution Planner & Scheduler

Position Purpose:
The Maintenance & Integrity Execution Planner (MIE Planner) is responsible for planning detailed Work Orders for all production, maintenance, Completion Well Intervention (CWI), logistics discipline-specific and modification activities while ensuring delivery on safety/health/environmental factors, reliability and cost in support of all activities in the Block 10 and other blocks.
This role is key for overall activity management by providing line of sight in the 14-day schedule for all Shell managed, PDO managed and third-party activities within the Block 10 and 11 concession area.
The role enables implementation of the operating philosophy drivers of worker productivity, planned monthly interventions, multi-skilling and 4PL Logistics.
Position Responsibilities:
Role key deliverables

Develop and manage the 30-day and 14-day activity schedules for PM and CM work scope covering all activity executers.

Implement schedule compliance and enforce plan/schedule entry criteria

Development of optimized work packages to be executed by field-based teams, including PtW, Risk/ SIMOPS Assessments, Isolation planning and operational constraints or resource constraint assessments. For PM activities these work packages are to be developed in collaboration with SBO Chennai.

Maintain, share and present key maintenance/work management data to drive maintenance / activity delivery and performance

Champion continuous improvement of Maintenance Execution process – act as AMS-ME Site Process Focal Point delegate

Identify and initiate Management of Change where applicable

Be the SAP Super user for Field based team
Work Process specific deliverables
Work Identification and Prioritisation
-
Create a work order from a notification basing the planning on accurate equipment information, CMPT ranking and relevant codes as agreed in the Daily Notification Review/ YTT meeting.

Drive, prepare and run the daily YTT work management meeting in the field supporting the Field Operations Manager and field-based supervisors.

Understand and know when to use 5 why’s/Root Cause/Causal trouble shooting system.

Identify HSSE (Safety & Environmental) Critical Equipment within the defect system ensuring that they are maintained as per the Performance standards.
Manage Equipment Care (MEC)
The planner is a key interface between the maintenance execution process (ME) and the PM plans as defined through the MEC process. The planner is responsible for optimisation of both the PM plans and PM work orders and their alignment with resource loading and business priorities.
Typical tasks are:

Obtain Defined PM requirements including scope, frequency, HSSE criticality and pass/fail criteria

Identify Notification of changes to PM plans
-
Obtain Approved deferrals, Identify deviation requests
Work and Resource Preparation
-
In collaboration with SBO Chennai create electronic work packs in CMMS (SAP) to a standard that allows the field execution teams to complete work tasks within budget and target finish date. During the work order preparation phase ensure the correct materials and vendor services have been identified and added to the work order.

Understand the Turnaround preparation and planning process.

Ensure work that has shutdown requirements have the correct System Condition code and are included in the correct shutdown network.

Create and update PM/CM task lists based on historical performance and execution feedback forms to ensure the work order process is continually improving.

Monitor and track KPIs that drive achievement in work preparation in terms of cost, efficiency and integrity.

Liaise regularly with the field teams to gather more information on planning of maintenance activities, ensuring involvement across the shifts.

Create 72RE sub-order for repairs/returns process and track equipment return dates, where appropriate.

Raise Preventive (72FP) and Corrective (72FC) deviations with input from supervisors.
Manage Supply chain (MSC)
-
Request the creation of Material Masters and Bill of Materials for repeat tasks and commonly used parts. The use of the generic material option is minimized by using Business Opportunity Managers (BOMs) and using material catalogue/developing new where required.

Identify obsolescence and work with Discipline Engineers to ensure asset register and supporting Material Masters are up to date.

Keep an up to date register of direct charge Material Requests and ensure that appropriate Work Order Numbers are used for PRs before they are transferred to Material Focal Point for processing

Obtain Cost estimates, including costs to expedite

Obtain & Assess Availability of resources and services
-
Obtain & Assess Availability of materials (including spares)
Work and Resource Scheduling

Prepare and Issue an optimized and do-able Schedule on agreed dates
-
Schedule work orders based on resources, material/vendor constraints and Latest Allowed Finish date.

Raise Z6 notifications wherever anomalies are found to continuously improve the SAP CMMS.
Management of Change (MOC)
-
Recognise critical issues where there is a need to make changes in system, procedures, organisation and others.
-
Raise a request in MoC for obsolete equipment, contribute to the development of the change and follow through to completion.

Knowledge of requirement of mitigation measures and prepare them with guidance from Discipline Engineers.
Integrated Activity Planning and Scheduling (IAPS)
The MIE Planner is a key interface to the IAPS Planner and provides input into the development of the Short Term IAP / IPP planning process.

Consistently apply AMS processes, standard methods, tools and templates for delivery.
Stakeholder Management

Maintain interface with IAP Planner, Project Services Planners, CSU Lead, PDO GGO 14Day activity planner, logistics supervisor, maintenance supervisor, production supervisor and CWI supervisor, Integrity Assurance- MMI Engineer.

Identify training requirements related to the AMS ME/MEC/MSC/ESP capabilities and tools to be in place in support of the 30 Day/ 14 Day planning and schedule horizon.
Specific Challenges

Support the implementation of a planned activity execution culture in the field & concession

Play a key role in the Implementation of AMS practices related to planning & scheduling

Manage frequent change, competing priorities and activities

Interfacing and communicating with both Shell & PDO Activity executers/ service providers – where each have their own priorities

Change-over of PDO service contract (MSA) provided services to Shell held service contracts.
What we need from You
Qualification & Experience.
-
Degree in a production engineering, maintenance engineering
-
Professional with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and Upstream gas production & maintenance operations
-
Good understanding of production and maintenance work processes and executional practices
-
Knowledge of the Project life cycle and Operations Management Systems/AMS is beneficial.

Proficient in maintenance planning and scheduling fundamentals.
-
Ability to understand and use the CMPT tool within the control of work system.
-
Ability to develop and foster positive working relationships with Concession/Field leadership, Maintenance, Operations and other discipline staff who provide input to the MIE Planner is a necessity.

Awareness of HSSE-CE, HSSE-CA, Human Barriers and performance standards.

Ability to read PEFS, P&IDS and equipment documentation.
