Job Description:
We are adding a Sr Product Manager to the Cardiac Surgery Marketing Team! Join us to help manage the Surgical Ablation product line and programs, becoming the in-house expert for these products and associated procedures. You will conduct market research to analyze competitive activity and work to identify key strategic segments and messaging for the product line. Work closely with Medtronic Sales Reps who carry these products, as well as with Medical Education and International business partners to develop and implement market development and product marketing plans to increase penetration and market share in the global market. You will provide marketing/business expertise to the product development team and have responsibility for launching and managing/monitoring products in the US and OUS geographies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Stay current on key clinical literature and communicate important findings to the sales force and management
- Develop strategies related to specific product line
- Develop key technical and marketing materials to support the global sales force and maintain frequent communication with them, providing high-value insights
- Responsible for product pricing, forecasting, and data integrity
- Obtain product knowledge, to be seen as the Subject Mater Expert by our customers and our Medtronic functional partners
- Work with cross-functional members as required to ensure products meet global standards
- Keep current on new and competitive technology offerings in the marketplace
- Monitors competitive moves as they relate to the Surgical Ablation products and develops a cohesive response that can be used to deter competitive threats
- Define customer requirements for product additions or improvements or provide analysis for business development opportunities
- Work closely with R&D to provide direction to development efforts for product improvements and longer-term new product and technology development
- Monitor sales trends and make recommendations for deeper penetration of products in the market
- Acts as an interface with demand planning and supply chain to manage supply/demand forecasting needs
- Works with Engineering and Quality to ensure the quality of products and quickly rallies necessary functional partners to respond to quality issues
- Develop impactful product positioning and annual marketing plan
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Product management or project management experience
- Strong technical aptitude, specifically in Cardiac Surgery and/or the clinical environment would be ideal
- Product Launch experience
- Experience in medical device marketing
- MBA
- Sales orientation or exposure to working with a high performing salesforce is very helpful
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing plans across geographies and product lines and customer types is also desired
- You will need a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7+ years of marketing, sales or technical experience (5 years with an Advanced Degree)
