Job Description:
Supports the merchant and inventory team within a buying group, to support the business to achieve P&L deliverables and sell the products to better serve members and MEC.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist inventory manager with running Merlin & Darwin tools and templates.
- Support the business on product recalls, entering pertinent information into the system for the business to act upon.
- Responsible to gather and input data; build, analyze and maintain reports to support merchandise decisions utilizing systems such as MMS & D365, as well as create and track vendor funded markdowns and credits.
- Responsible for PO creation and managing vendor confirmation, working with inventory manager and assistant inventory manager.
- Support merchants with merchandise event/promotional execution including but not limited to item selection templates and marketing campaign templates.
- Assist merchant in setting up new vendors and assist in product set up through template completion with vendor and hand off to cross-functional merchandise operation partners.
- Attend weekly business meetings with merchant, inventory manager, and assistant inventory manager review sales and inventory flow.
- Responsible for supporting merchants and inventory managers with assortment planning activities; eg. product set up.
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- 1 year experience using basic Microsoft Office functionality, but strong Excel skills considered an key asset.
- 1 year administrative professional or related experience.
- Strong proactive and time management skills.
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
