Job Purpose

  • To design, implement, and manage marketing strategies, tactical plans, and campaigns that serve achieve Air Arabia’s commercial objectives in terms of sales and market growth.
  • He/she shall manage the day-to-day activities related to branding, advertising, events, and promotions across the entire network using different marketing concepts
  • Lead the market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services and liaising with media and advertising agencies.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Creates, manages, coordinates, and executes all marketing strategies and implements tactical plans that meet and exceed company’s expectations.
  • Develops innovative strategies using the Creative and Studio team in order to attract potential customers to the business.
  • Conducts and presents competitive market research and findings to enhance strategy and planning and increase brand recognition/awareness among target customers.
  • Develops unique value propositions, business partnerships, and call to action-oriented advertising and multi-channel marketing initiatives targeted towards key customer segments that increase brand awareness.
  • Negotiates and secures best media buying across various markets. Manage external agencies for public relations, advertising, media buying, production etc.
  • Plans, directs and implements multi-channel marketing initiatives across advertising, sponsorship, direct communications, social media, and web content. ensures public media material, layout and production are in compliance with standards.
  • Performs post-promotion assessment studies and analysis to measure real impact on sales and net incremental revenue.
  • Conducts and presents competitive market research and findings to enhance strategy and planning and increase brand recognition/awareness among target customers.
  • Analyses market trends and recommend changes to marketing strategy based on research and analysis.
  • Leads all areas of content generation and production across the department.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Media Relations, Communications or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Additional qualifications in PR, Events Management, and Web-design are considered an added value.
  • Certificates in Project Management, Budgeting and Cost Control are considered an advantage.
  • Proficient in social media tools and applications with exposure on sites used most for marketing purposes.
  • Expert in developing editorial and publication content, press releases, as well as business reports.
  • Familiar with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
  • Fluent in English Language, Arabic Language is a essential.

Work Experience

  • 5+ Years of extensive experience in Marketing and Public Relations scope of work in a similar role in any service industry (client/agency).
  • Preferably in Airlines/Travel.
  • Hands on developing marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive change in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proven skills in media relations, press, events management, and creating/communicating branding concepts and themes that increase market-share.
  • Possesses reasonable financial skills must have worked on developing marketing budget forecasts based on business requirements.
  • He/she must have good network and relationships with media contacts and advertising agencies.
  • Knowledge in protocol/regulations related to marketing and communication.
  • Cost-oriented, possesses effective persuasive, negotiation, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Capability of understanding market trends and customer needs and employing them to create effective marketing and advertising plans and campaigns.
