Job Description

Position Title:             Marine Officer – Search and Rescue (SAR)

Employment Type:     Full Time  

Salary:                        up to 20K AED all-inclusive depending on experience and qualifications

One of the leading providers of specialized services for the shipping , marine and offshore operations within the Oil & Gas sectors in UAE.

 

Job Description:  

  • Acts as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of related rules, regulations, requirements, concepts, principles, and processes.
  • Able to prepare and review offshore marine rescue plans as per the latest marine and safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections of all vessels and other marine crafts within the company.
  • Ensures the seaworthiness and compliance of vessels to prevailing regulations after marine registration.
  • Conducts inspection on all identified sea-crafts and other kinds of vessels to ensure their compliance with safety requirements as per set of prevailing regulations.
  • Conduct accident investigations for all fleet vessels in case of an accident.
  • Fault-identification, survey & inspections, maintenance procedures, and process of rectification of identified deficiencies.
  • Preparing and taking approval of Ship Security Plan & Safety Plan prior to commencement of offshore operation. 

Skills
Qualifications: Male, 50 years old and belowBachelor’s degree in Marine EngineeringAt least 10 years of practice, operational, technical, and management work experience in a Maritime OrganizationGood knowledge of QHSSE Management Risk Assessment, Processes Continuous Improvement and Change Management experience Must have knowledge of offshore operations Search, Rescue Officer, IAMSAR/ IMO / MARPOL Search and Rescue operations and QHSSE standardsMust have knowledge of Maritime legislation SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM, ISPS, STCW, MLC 2006.Must have the following certificate: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001Must have valid T-BOSIET and HUET training.Candidates who can join immediately will be prioritized.
