Position Title: Marine Legal Advisor
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: up to 20K AED all-inclusive depending on experience and qualifications

One of the leading providers of specialized services for shipping, marine and offshore operations within the Oil & Gas sector in the UAE.
Job Description:
- Assist Commercial Director in handling and coordinating commercial aspects of the company including, prequalifying, tendering, drafting, and negotiating contracts
- Assist the commercial department on daily basis with contracts, risks, and reporting to Commercial Director and (Vice) Chairman
- Provide counsel on local and international contracts and provide critical counsel on Marine legal matters including seafarers and insurance
- Prepare, draft, and word clauses and agreements for a wide variety of legal documentation and issues for the Commercial team such as company assets, contracts, ship registration, ownership registration, certificate of incorporation and insurance demand letters, deeds, wills, lawsuits, and appeals
- Negotiate all types of contracts to meet the needs of the company
- Explain the law & provide legal advice including monitoring legal risk in the documentation & giving guidance on the acceptable notion of risk
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for natural and juristic persons
- Conduct legal research such as legal concepts, case law, judicial opinions, statutes, and regulations
Skills
Qualifications:Male, 50 years old and belowBachelor’s degree in Law or equivalentMinimum 5 years of marine experience Sound knowledge of the offshore oil and gas labor marketSound knowledge of BIMCO, Saudi Aramco Offshore Time, ADNOC Framework agreement, and similar contracts for oil & gas and EPC companiesSound knowledge of marine insuranceSound knowledge of Maritime legislation (STCW, MLC 2006)
