Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood is currently looking for a Lead Expeditor to strengthen our team in Dubai. This is a home office position based in Dubai and will involve occasional travel to Basra in Iraq.
  • Responsible for the Desk and Field Expediting of all Project Purchase Orders through to FCA Delivery
  • Creation of Daily Expediting Reports
  • Expediting Purchase Orders Daily
  • Updating system with the Expediting Status of Purchase Orders
  • Notifying Supply Chain Focal Points of any potential Schedule Slippages
  • Setting Expediting follow up dates in the relevant system
  • Obtain Quotations and CV’s of 3rd Party Expediting Providers
  • Place Purchase Order for Expediting Services
  • Checking Field Expediting Manufacturing Schedules
  • Liaison with Field Expediting Suppliers to co-ordinate Expediting visits
  • Receiving Field Expediting Progress Reports and updating the relevant systems
  • Issuing Expediting Reports as required by the project

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to travel to Basra in Iraq on occasion
  • Degree qualification
  • Minimum of 15 years expediting experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Detailed knowledge of Materials and Document Expediting Practices
  • Previous Middle East experience would be advantageous
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills
