Position Title:            Junior Sous Chef – Sushi

Employment Type:    Full Time

Salary:                        up to 9K AED all-inclusive depending on experience and qualifications

Job Location:           Dubai, UAE

 

About the Client:

A well known restaurant group in Dubai

 

Job Description:

  • Create a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish (for example, salmon, tuna, unagi)
  • Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimi
  • Select fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes (including avocado, mango and carrots)
  • Add additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi and soy sauce, when appropriate
  • Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift

 

Qualifications:

  • 38 years old and below
  • At least 6 years previous experience in Sushi/Sashimi Section; 2 years of which as a Junior Sous Chef
  • Very good knowledge of Japanese Cuisine in general
  • In charge of cost control and stock management
  • Must have a basic food handling (BFH) certificate
