Job Description:
As a Social Media Manager at CPA Canada, you will Lead CPA Canada’s social media channel strategy, managing the organization’s presence on social media.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to brand and product marketing groups on social media strategy for campaigns – providing campaign and channel performance insights, assessing and contributing to creative campaign development and actively testing campaigns and audiences to optimize performance
- Increase CPA Canada staff awareness of audience engagement patterns and preferences along with best practice approaches to social media management through the development and delivery of social media presentations, reports, policies and training workshops
- Supervise and mentor Social Media Specialists assigning work, providing ongoing support and leadership, performance management, and training / upskilling requirements
- Manage external agencies and vendors that support the social media team
- Monitor and measure the success of paid and organic social media activities, reporting on performance
- Lead social media strategy with overall responsibility for all CPA Canada’s paid and organic social media channels – overseeing channel management, content performance analysis, reputational risk issues, and brand voice to drive audience growth and increasing engagement
- Oversee all ad-buying and ad placement strategies on social media for marketing campaigns
- Continually monitor industry and channel trends, working closely with reps within social media platforms and conducting regular social media listening and competitor analysis research to monitor market trends and implement new approaches to CPA Canada’s social media channels
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other social media best practices
- Robust data analysis and reporting within digital marketing as an asset
- Experience in paid social media ad management at a high level ($250,000+)
- Demonstrated experience with leading small teams
- Experience in managing crisis communications or risk considered beneficial
- Postgraduate qualification in social media strategy, digital marketing, and equivalent experience at a senior level
- A degree in marketing, public relations, communications or other relevant disciplines
- Six years + experience in a marketing role leading social media or digital communications (paid and organic) strategy within an organization or agency
