Job Description:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Wealth Process Excellence within the Wealth Experience and Delivery Group. The Process Architect is accountable for
development, deployment, and maintenance of process architecture standards across Wealth business processes
The objective of this role is to
- Develop Wealth process architecture standard/ model
- Establish process standards and conventions
- Create process frameworks and define key end to end value chains
- Measure adherence to the process standards
The position involves working in partnership with a high number of Wealth groups to ensure their feedback is incorporated in developing the process architecture and standards. These include but are not limited to: Lines of business, Operations, Business Architecture, Technology Solutions, other.
Job Responsibilities:
- Consults with Senior Process Leads/SME’s to develop process architecture standards across a wide spectrum of process engineering factors and design practices
- Tests and validates Process Blueprints with Process Community of Practice advisory groups to solicit Practitioner input and expertise
- Completes Industry research into both current and emerging process standards, assessing fit and potential benefits to TD Wealth operation
- Uses Benchmarking services to gather, synthesize and analyze information on Best Practice adoption.
- Collaborates with process owners to develop and maintain process blueprints, aligned with the process model; to operate as a guidebook for future process development requirements; and book of record for implemented process improvements
- Facilitate workshops to gather input on process roadmaps to gain input and develop support from various process practitioners and management
- Maintains a calendar for planning refreshes to process blueprints based on process volatility and criticality
- Monitors both centralized and federated process engineering initiatives to assure application and compliance with defined standards
- Conducts periodic process health checks against process blueprints to assess the integration of previous process investments
- Consults on documentation standards and documentation library management standards
- Attends Process Design Review Board assuring completeness of process design
understanding of the nature of policy and control requirements to incorporate into process blueprints - The Process Architect is a planning, consulting and monitoring role responsible for working with diverse stakeholders to plan guide the future state of Wealth processes
- Develops and maintains Wealth Process Model, based on process specific industry standard; internal and external best practices.
- Maintains awareness of regulatory process standards, working with Governance and Regulatory Management to develop a common
- Chairs the Process Community of Practice to select and plan for integration of new standards and best Practice methods
- Consults on engineering practices for process performance analysis
- Collaborates with process owner/WPE relationship Managers in planning and defining process development roadmaps; which will guide process releases
- Consults on process control engineering standards in collaboration with Governance and Regulatory Management
- Consults on process design assuring process model alignment and design effectiveness
- Develop process architecture standards to bring consistency to process solutions (Policy, Standards, Process, Roles & Accountability, process automation, inter-process linkages, control objectives, metrics/KPIs & maturity guidelines)
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Knowledge of Wealth organization, services and general understanding of related processes preferred
- Undergraduate / Graduate Degree in any of the following: Business, Engineering, Finance
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in the field of Operational Excellence (Process consulting, or Financial Services Industry experience is preferred)
- Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
- Experience in contributing to strategy for achieving organization change
- Experience in developing and deploying standard enterprise-wide process methodology
- Experience with performance related process engineering (e.g. Management by Objectives,
- Demonstrable knowledge of Process Frameworks
- Working knowledge of process control design, policy and control requirements
- Knowledge of processes improvement methodologies
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Project Management
- Strong experience & knowledge in metric design and implementation
