Job Description:

Always focussed on property delivering more for customers and colleagues, this role leads on the implementation and continuous improvement of cost management within property by ensuring control, accuracy, visibility and value is driven into all programmes & project activity.

Job Requirements:

  • Champion cost management mindset amongst colleagues to ensure value for money
  • Provide cost assurance to the property leadership team through change controls, regular updates and capex out-turn reports
  • Provide leadership to create a high performing and engaged team.
  • Conduct timely feasibility studies and prepare projected costs for potential capital investment
  • Provide continuous support for stakeholders on all property cost related issues
  • Be tough on costs by reducing capex, whilst building up internal data of costs improving Morrisons cost intelligence for capital construction, refurbishment and property services expenditure
  • Lead the cost team to provide high quality quantity surveying services to all property investments
