Division/Department: International Merchandise / Omnichannel Sourcing
Location: Majid Al Futtaim Retail Corporate Head Office, Dubai
Role Purpose:
The International Negotiator is responsible for standardising the sourcing strategy within the respective country and implementing best practices. The role holder is also responsible for negotiating trading terms with the different Vendors, developing regional and international business relationships with brands and implementing international sourcing standards within the respective country.
Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Sourcing Strategy
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective strategies for sourcing goods
- Support the standardisation of the sourcing strategy across respective country by implementing best practices
- Liaise with the International Merchandise team on daily matters
Tender and Negotiation
- Apply the negotiation and tender development ensuring alignment with the organisation’s objectives
- Review the cost scenario analysis and benchmarking reports to develop negotiation strategies when required
Vendor Relationships
- Review identified suppliers and support the development of partnerships, when applicable
- Contribute to the development of supplier relationship strategy for existing and new suppliers
- Build sustainable relationships with suppliers and vendors in order to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
Sourcing Optimization
- Identify potential suppliers and negotiate Majid Al Futtaim International Trade Agreement
- Develop a country plan for events (promotions), which supports respective category strategy to ensure growth, customer satisfaction and increased profitability
Coordination with Internal Stakeholders
- Ensure and facilitate synergies with internal functions to better understand the needs of MAF Retail
- Review the key trends in consumer retail and provide inputs, when required
- Ensure collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the sourcing function
Data Monetization
- Manage the data sharing and Monetization to CPG’s & Vendors
- Track the revenue collection to reach the set targets
Assets
- Manage supplier database and maintain supplier records and ensure they are up to date
- Attend trade fairs to keep up-to-date with market trends
- Support Majid Al Futtaim Retail countries with problem solving
- Provide accurate information to all internal stakeholders
- Develop and propose international and national contract templates in order to standardise terms and conditions within Majid Al Futtaim Retail for suppliers

Minimum Qualifications/education
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Management / Negotiation or equivalent experience
Minimum experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- 1 to 3 years in retail, preferably in International Merchandise related industry
