About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Intern to join the Human Resources Department in Jumeirah Group & Corporate Office in Dubai. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Assisting the new joiners onboarding process including but not limited to the following: filing, requesting recruitment clearance, obtaining reference checks, issuing of contracts, coordinating with the Government affairs on visas, coordinating candidate’s flight ticket, start date, and arranging accommodation.
Assisting new joiners with their queries related to the onboarding.
Providing information to colleagues on the company policies with regards to HR issues.
Ensuring Jumeirah ID and medical cards for new joiners are received and distributed efficiently.
Assisting with internal communication and being responsible for maintaining notice boards.
Assisting with the organization of colleague engagement events throughout the year.
Assisting with colleague’s offboarding process including but not limited to the following: Issuing necessary documentation to the leaving colleague, guiding the colleague throughout the entire offboarding process, liaising with all involved internal parties to ensure a smooth transition of company property, and liaising with external parties to arrange travel and relocation.
Project Management tasks if required About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Experience
- On the job training experience in an operational department
- Administrative/ office experience
- Hotel operations experience
- Middle East experience
Skills
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Level 3 English
- Intermediate/ Advanced level – Microsoft Office applications
Qualification
- In the process of completing a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality management or the field applied for.
