Job Description:
You are an experienced furniture planner, whether that be Kitchens or another area of the home.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively promote and sell the wide range of kitchen services available in the IKEA store to help customers make informed choices
- Understand and contribute to the store and kitchens business plan by delivering on the business and personal goals set.
- Maximize sales whilst maintaining profitability by tracking, following-up and converting customers.
- Keep the area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked (Analyze and adjust the SLM tool), and ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.
- Pro-actively interact with customers to provide the highest level of service
- Analyze reports, identify and recommend commercial opportunities to support the strategy.
- Maintain a high level of kitchens product and market knowledge.
- Implement long term strategic initiatives involving the kitchen department throughout the store.
- Understand the importance of Right First Time on the customer and the IKEA brand and how you can contribute towards prevention.
- Actively keep updated with and transfer to customers and co-workers the IKEA kitchen products features, benefits and technical capabilities. Openly and honestly compare the IKEA product offer with the competition in a professional manner.
- Familiarity with the IKEA social and environmental commitments and know how you can contribute to sustainability.
- Actively steer towards prioritized products and services
- Understand and utilize complex systems and selling tools, communication channels and industry know-how for each individual and different customers resulting in the best solutions that exceeds customers’ expectations.
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Strong understanding of IKEA’s systems, tools, processes and procedures.
- Enjoy working in a unique, complex, dynamic and detailed business environment.
- Knowledge of the total kitchens market and the competitor offer.
