Role
The Human Resources Business Partner mission is to implement Group and wider region HR strategy within the specified entity, contributing to the development of HR strategy and ensuring entities within the scope align with both. They also have ownership in managing entity HR operations, leveraging centralised support functions, to attract, develop and retain the right talent necessary to achieve short and long term business strategies.
The HRBP ultimately ensures the best level of engagement with the employees and drives the HR agenda acting as a change agent through processes, empowerment and coaching.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Propose HR initiatives in line with business objectives, consulting with executives on HR needs
- Proactively assess team and manager development needs, recommending and implementing relevant solutions
- Perform data analysis and report solutions based on business needs, implementing talent management and employee engagement strategies as necessary
- Integrate with coworkers in other departments to help scale the business
- Build critical competencies for the organisation according to business growth or reduction needs, collaborating with Talent Acquisition for recruitment needs
- Define, and implement specific capability requirements for the business needs based on the annual workforce planning
- Work closely with the HR community as an integral member, partnering with regional HR partners on global strategy
Operational Planning
- Drive and ensure the adoption of HR policies while ensuring legal compliance
- Collaborate with HR CoEs and HR BSCs to implement HR initiatives and solve issues aligned with the business needs and reality
- Define and execute action plans based on HR analytics
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Partner with the legal department as needed/required
Change Management and Transformation
- Promote new ways of working, organisational culture and continuous improvement
- Actively identify gaps, proposing and implementing changes necessary to cover risks
Employee Champion
- Implement the Group HR development policy by promoting diversity
- Improve and maintain employee experience and engagement
- Identify learning and development needs and implement the solution in cooperation with the CoEs
- Act as the performance improvement driver and provoke positive changes in people management
Requirements
Experience
- 8 to 10 years HR business partner experience, operating at a level with exposure to and interaction with business stakeholders at senior levels
- Extensive knowledge of best practice full-life-cycle HR disciplines, including recruitment, compensation, organizational design, employee relations, performance management and employment laws
- At least 5 years experience operating within an international multicultural environment, supporting the Middle East region in particular
- Experience within transformation and change environments
- Knowledge of HR systems is preferred, with particular preference for experience with Workday
- Experience within similar operational industries is considered advantageous

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with demonstrable ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Fluent English language skills are essential, whilst fluency in Arabic is highly preferable
- A strong hospitality mindset, exceeding expectations of internal and external customers – a sense of humanity is essential; we are looking for a people focused HR professional, rather than a resource focused individual
- Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management and ability to anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks
- Comfortable making independent decisions and taking accountability for the outcome
- Comfortable acting in an agile environment, anticipating future consequences and trends – is flexible and consistently demonstrates a can-do attitude.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor level qualification is required, with preference for higher academic or HR focused subjects
- A professional HR qualification and membership to an associated professional body is considered advantageous.
