Job Title-HSE Officer

The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring that employees work in a safe environment. Oversee health, safety and environmental effects of all the activities conducted by Client. Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement solutions to prevent injuries or illness from occurring. Responsible for developing and implementing the HSMS.
Develop the Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) depending on the nature of the activity and implement them.
Monitor compliance to the HSMS by conducting regular inspections and internal auditing of site activities.
Non-compliance has to be reported to the department/project in-charge and followed-up until rectified.
Update existing policies and procedures as required.
Good understanding of the HSE Legislation of the respective Emirate (the office or project is in) and stay up to date.
Provide the necessary advice to the Site Manager on site health and safety issues.
Conduct periodic safety inspections in all the locations and prepare a reports for submittal and review of the office/project in-charge
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective action.
Provide safety leadership and oversight, consulting on ways they can improve and implement safety programs in the organisation.
Drive a strong Health and Safety culture throughout the organization through awareness campaigns. They can be communicated via training, posters, manuals and emails.
Conduct regular Toolbox Talks and maintain records for the same.
Develop Emergency Procedures and conduct Evacuation Drills.
Perform detailed investigations for health and safety related incidents, and take corrective actions.
Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
Provide HSE reports, provide HSE related data for management reports.
Attend project and risk meetings.

Mandatory
Driving license
Arabic speaker

Good communication skills
Good training skills
Document development skills
Well versed with MS Word & Excel
Problems solving
Physically fit to work outdoor
Fluency in English

Engineering or Diploma in HSE

Occupational Safety and Health Certification

ISO Auditor Certification

At least 7 years of experience as HSE Officer or Engineer, with minimum 3 years in the UAE
Experience in construction works, dealing with contractors and sub-contractors

Experience in developing and implementing ISO 45001:2018
